My #1, All-time, Favouritest, Best Book! What's Yours?

Traveler's Gift Book

Not counting scripture or religious texts, this one book has done more to change and improve my life than any other book that I have read in my 50 years on this planet. Since I first read it 4 years ago, I have given dozens of copies to others as I have found someone facing a difficult challenge in life and from many of their comments, it certainly has helped them too. (Yes, I was on another planet before, but that's a different blog. See photo below. Note confused look).

Here is a quick review:

"The Traveler's Gift" by Andy Andrews:

Certainly one of the most influential books of my adult life.  The story of Michael Ponder, a man who feels that he's lost everything and takes a trip through time to find out just how much he truly has.  On his journey, he is given the gifts of 7 decisions that affect our choices on how we define our lives.  Note:  Also available as "The Young Traveler's Gift", which is written from the perspective of a teenager

WHAT'S YOUR #1, ALL-TIME, FAVOURITE (Favorite, for my American friends) BEST BOOK?  I'd love to hear about it!

Cheers!  Rick

Rick,

I will look for The Travelers Gift, I love to read.  I try to read two books a month.  One of my favorites is Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got by Jay Abraham.

There's so many!  I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would be "Who Moved My Cheese."  So simple and yet such a powerful message.  It's my fav mostly because it was really the first book I read on my road to great change and growth.  Everyone should read it once a year!

For a minute I thought it was "The Time Traveler's Wife" which was the worst book I have ever read. And they made a movie out of it which says alot about our society! ha.

I'll have to look into this one, thank you. I read about a book a week so I can't really pick one. If I had to it would be "Jesus Calling", my daily devotion this year which is absolutely my favorite devotional ever. Can't wait each morning to read it.

Rick,

The Traveller's Gift was a great book!  It was given to me by a close friend and I really enjoyed reading it and absorbing its message.  Even better, I got to see the author, Andy Andrews present a keynote talk at the RE/MAX Convention in Las Vegas in 2009!

My favorite book of all time would have to be Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.  The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason is another great one.  Anything by Jeffrey Gitomer is great on sales.

Of course the Bible would be number one for me, but aside from that, I like Purple Cow by Seth Godin, and Outliers by Malcomb Gladwell. I have read the travelers gift, and it was pretty good. I thought it was the Last Lecture when I saw the cover which was an excellent and moving book. For me the travelers gift was just OK.
