Charlottesville Ten Miler

Mark Lorenzoni of the Ragged Mountain Running Shop joins Coy Barefoot for a preview of the Charlottesville Ten-Miler.

This race/run is to be held today, Saturday, March 29, 2008.

This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now

Approx 2300 runners are on the streets of Charlottesville, this is a kickoff to Spring and the Dogwood Festival. This is the largest sporting event in town where people participate!!!

A side note: The Lorenzoni's who you can see running around town almost every day, live very close to my home and I see them blazing the roads of Charlottesville often.

If you are a runner you need to know about the Ragged Mountain Running Shop near UVA!

In my younger days I ran a lot of races and when I see an event like this it makes me want to go put my running shoes back on.

Well it is the weekend..... I am out of here!!! lol

Charles, c'mon, I was hoping to see you cross the finish line.  I ran and completed the Marines Corps Marathon back in 2004, and run the 5K National Race for the Cure in D.C. every year.  I'd like to run another marathon, but need the aches and pains from the last one to become a distant memory first.

You can always put your walking shoes and start an hour before so you can finish near the front.

Charles - I can't wait to start running again.  Back in the days before kids and a husband I could easily run about 7 miles a day.
